Release log

v1.2.1 · Current

Identity-safe reuse and verified runtime repair

Repair sharing and identity boundaries without changing the public CLI or rewriting existing SOPack inputs. The measured checkpoint passed hosted contracts and scoped comparisons; the separately identified release commit passed main and six-platform publication gates. Version 1.2.1 is published, not a universal speedup claim.

Changes

Reuse the right product

  • Pack reuse matches document, provenance and resource directives together: an empty document can still select different assets.
  • Wrong cached keys/outputs are rejected before hydration; cache policy may warn and rebuild. Derived CAS corruption is not authoritative product corruption: a corrupt published file must never be adopted.
  • SOPack validation covers the whole archive before selecting referenced precompiled units; unused local XML remains strictly checked.

Verify once, preserve the contract

  • Immutable verified snapshots and borrowed/shared runtime boundaries avoid reacquiring identical data without weakening digest, size, corruption or durability checks.
  • Repeated text shares existing content; multi-fragment concatenation still materializes visible bytes when necessary. Per-selection provenance, budgets, diagnostic order and public strings remain unchanged.
  • Canonical ZIP records are checked directly. Provider fingerprints derive from content and reference topology, not checkout paths. Catalog preparation verifies committed publications without loading derived CAS output bodies; exact warm SOPack proofs remain digest/size-bound.

Private cache identity is not a library format

  • Canonical schema-1 readers accept v1.2.0 SOPacks. Rewriting a single relocated archive preserves provider paths and normalized bytes; existing inputs and SHA-256 pins stay immutable.
  • Private derived caches may rebuild after upgrades; do not edit internal hashes or SQLite records to migrate them.
  • Fresh archive bytes can differ between producer versions. The v1.2.0 release history remains unchanged. The measured checkpoint passed quality, three native platforms, Site and mechanisms. The exact release commit passed main and publication gates; earlier checkpoints remain historical.

Native archives

Choose the archive matching your operating system and processor. Verify its exact filename against SHA256SUMS before extraction.

SHA-256 manifest

Native archives are unsigned and not Apple-notarized. Checksums establish byte integrity, not publisher identity.

Pinned source install

cargo install --git https://github.com/kleedaisuki/prompt-squish --tag v1.2.1 --locked

Compatibility

  • Existing namespace, manifest, CLI flags and product roles are unchanged. Review the current manual and bundled guide after upgrading.
  • Do not replace SOPack bytes under an existing pin; intentionally update the dependency through the existing add lifecycle.
  • Use clean only if cleanup is needed: it removes all project-local build state, so offline rebuilds require available dependency inputs.
